In addition, we enhance internal audit activities and organizational performance. Recommendation About the Role:
As a Risk Advisory Consultant, you will support the planning and execution of internal audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio. You will participate in risk assessments, perform walkthroughs, evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, and assess compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.
You will contribute to ICFR reviews, operational audits, and corporate compliance engagements, identifying control gaps and providing practical, risk-based recommendations to strengthen clients’ control environments. The role also involves preparing high-quality working papers and reports in accordance with professional standards and firm methodology.
Working closely with senior team members and client stakeholders, you will help enhance governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks while gaining exposure to various industries and complex business environments.
Responsibilities Include:
Risk Assessment & Audit Planning
• Participate in enterprise and engagement-level risk assessments to identify key operational, financial, and compliance risks.
• Assist in developing risk-based internal audit plans and detailed audit programs aligned with organizational priorities.
• Conduct process walkthroughs to understand business activities, identify key controls, and assess control design.
• Support engagement planning activities, including defining scope, timelines, and resource requirements in accordance with professional standards and firm methodology.
Internal Control Testing
Perform comprehensive testing and assessments of internal processes and controls.
Evaluate compliance with company policies, regulations, and best practices.
Identify control gaps and weaknesses, propose remediation strategies, and guide clients through implementation.
Prepare clear and well documented working papers to support audit conclusions.
Policies and Procedures
Support the development, enhancement, and documentation of company policies and procedures.
Ensure alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and strong governance expectations.
Advise clients on optimizing workflows and strengthening their policy frameworks.
ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting)
Support comprehensive assessments of internal controls over financial reporting.
Conduct risk assessments, perform walkthroughs, and test the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
Present findings to management and provide strategic remediation recommendations.
Corporate Compliance & Governance
Monitor and evaluate adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Support clients in establishing strong governance structures that promote transparency and accountability.
Assist in developing corrective action plans and tracking remediation progress.
Operational Audit
Lead operational audits to evaluate efficiency, resource utilization, and process effectiveness.
Identify improvement opportunities, cost‑saving measures, and performance‑enhancing solutions.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to the development of the Risk Advisory practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, with strong academic credentials.
2–3 years of relevant experience in Risk Advisory, internal audit, internal controls, or compliance.
Willingness to pursue a professional qualification (CIA, CRMA, GRCP, GRCA).
Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute engagements, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality outputs.
Strong capability in utilizing automation and digital tools within audit and risk engagements.
Fluent in Arabic and English (reading, speaking, and writing).
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support or mentor junior team members.
